Harley-Davidson® Honoring Freedom Challenge Coin, 8003845. The Challenge Coin and its history would be worthy of a chapter in a book of military history. Add additional chapters to cover how the Challenging actually takes please. It’s complicated. Suffice to say, the tradition of Challenge Coins have become part of our culture, both inside and outside military circles, where it all began. This Challenge Coin is 1.75-inches in diameter, and honors all of our DOD services, Air Force, Marines, Army, and Navy. The primary side (head) depicts our fearless bald eagle, centered on a five-pointed blue star with images associated with each service in the background. The inner race of the coin features red and white flag elements with the words "HONORING ALL WHO DEFEND FREEDOM." The tail of the coin features a Bar & Shield® on a digital camouflage pixilated background. There are embossed elements throughout the coin, giving it a rich and heavy feel.
